Breakfast - Saturday



Scoooones! 
Probably one of the best things you can have for breakfast but maybe not the healthiest... I actually tried a new recipe today with quark+ less butter instead of the regular milk+butter and wow, it made them soo much more succulent! This is definitely my new favorite scone recipe.

Ingredients (3 regular sized scones)

2 dl wheat flour 
0.25 tsp salt 
2 teaspoon baking powder 
25 grams butter
125 grams quark

Set the oven at 225 ° C.

Mix all dry ingredients. Add butter and knead the dough with your fingers so until it's crumbly. Add the quark and mix. (I added a few teaspoons of semi skimmed milk as well because I thought the dough was a bit dry.)

Divide the dough into 3 pieces and shape into balls. I put mine in muffin cups but you can use regular oven paper as well. Bake for 10 minutes!

Serve with cream cheese/butter/clotted cream/marmalade/jam or whatever you like!

  1. Oh lawd, I used to make scones like these every day last year. So damn good with edam cheese and milk!

    1. Scones<3 I always eat mine with cream cheese mixed with walnuts and omg it's soo good. You should try it!
