Dinner - Monday




This evening I decided to make something that I really like, pie! As we had some leftover minced meat sauce in the fridge this was the obvious main ingredient. The rest I improvised by using what I could find in the fridge.

Pie crust:
200 gram graham flour
125 gram butter
2 tbsp water

Mix everything together and let it cool in the fridge for a while.
Press the dough into the form and pre-bake the crust at 200 degrees for about 10 minutes.

Fill the crust with whatever you like, I used minced meat sauce, feta cheese, black olives and cherry tomatoes. Then stir together two eggs and 2 dl of milk and pour over the pie, (this will make it more creamy).
Bake in the oven at 200-225 degrees celsius for 20-30 minutes.

Blueberry pie - Sunday

As you might have understand, Im kind of into blueberry pies, this was my third this week... Unfortunately, my wallet is not as happy with this new habit as I am. Therefore I decided to make my own blueberry pie this morning! 
Since I was too lazy to drag myself to the convenience store I simply had to cook my own sauce. Well, I know they say that homemade is always the best and I usually agree but this time I can't! The sauce, which was very easy to make though reminded me of scrambled eggs and white sauce.
If you'd like to try anyway and decide for yourself, this is the recipe I used:

2 dl or about 1 cup (0,85) of milk
2 tbsp flour
1 egg
1 tbsp sugar
2 tsp vanilla sugar

Mix everything together except the vanilla sugar in a saucepan and let the sauce boil while stirring. (It's very important that you stir all the time otherwise some milk will burn to the bottom of the pan)

Cool the sauce before adding the vanilla sugar.

(If you think the sauce is too thick, add some more milk to dilute it.)
